review: *limited edition* Great Value -- Strawberry Shortcake

 Yes, from last winter. Felt like it took forever to eat, though 😅

I'm pretty sure this came out only a matter of weeks before Strawberry Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I wanted to compare the two, but in the end I just couldn't justify having two similar cereals at the same time (you can find the Strawberry CTC in Jettas Mix right now though, if you also missed it before).

Anyway, just this one review: No cinnamon involved, so it's basically a Strawberry Toast Crunch. Inside the bag smelled like a tub of strawberry frosting. Kind of intense? But the first thing I noticed upon tasting was the cereal base tasted just like the wheat and rice combo that constitutes Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I guess I was expecting a knockoff to taste--lesser than? The strawberry flavor didn't really register, so I'm guessing my taste buds were overwhelmed by sweetness. I think Strawberry Vanilla Chex does it better--but maybe I'll get to that review before the end of the year 😄

(P.S. I wasn't much of a fan of the intense pink/red color, either.)
