re-review: Frosted Mini-Wheats -- Pumpkin Pie Spice

 Wait, that's a slight name change. So maybe this isn't a re-review?


We'll just see about that. You know the drill, sniff test first: it's a bit ginger-heavy. Visual: but it looks the same, with the orange-dyed sugar coating. Taste: yeah, that's definitely more ginger. Let me check the ingredients...cinnamon, nutmeg...yeah, I'm getting those, too. It's like they want you to think they dumped a canister of pumpkin pie spice in here 😄  But it still has that Frosted Mini-Wheats sugary sweetness, too. Is it an improvement? Let's go to the original review: wait, what? I actually suggested the name should be "Pumpkin Pie Spice." Which is funny because this iteration deserves the name.

fun on a bun...

Technically, the bun is optional but I just have to recommend these Spice-Rubbed Chicken Breasts.  I thought it sounded like a different kind of chicken sandwich for me and I'd never made a rub before. I have plenty of recipes but none which triggered an immediate response of, "I must try this." Also, I'd never purchased cumin before. It smells like the primary ingredient in a packet of taco seasoning, so you can see why it would need to be balanced out with brown sugar. Actually, all of the spices work well together, even the little tang of thyme. I think I'll be trying it on salmon next.
