review: *new* Dulce de Leche Toast Crunch

 Although, in truth, it really should be called Dulce de Leche Cinnamon Toast Crunch. But that would be a mouthful.

If you don't notice it on the side of the box, which I didn't, or on the cereal itself, which I didn't, you'll get it in the flavor. So let's start at the beginning. Sniff test: nothing but cardboard box. That's okay. I do the sniff test just in case there's a overwhelming scent, not because it's a must-have. 

Pour: this looks like an extra-dry, caramel-tinted (not glazed) piece of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Swirls and everything. Taste: it's like...Cinnamon Toast Crunch with an edge. A hint of something. Not a full-on caramel, but a tweak to the cinnamon. Cinnamon is definitely the dominant flavor here. Correction--classic Cinnamon Toast Crunch is definitely the dominant flavor here. Am I disappointed? Only in that it didn't meet my expectations. It's still a good flavor, though. In fact, it needs the cinnamon to leave any impression at all.
