review: *limited edition* Honey Bunches of Oats -- Frosted Bunches

 (I'm going to have to start typing these up once a week to get through the backlog 😁)

I usually stay away from anything with "Frosted" in the name but the local grocery store was trying to get rid of these back in early January so I couldn't resist. To my eye at least, it's frosted...and there's bunches.

I couldn't get much of a sniff but the taste was not unlike a Frosted Flakes-esque combo of sugar and corn, but slightly less frosted. The oat bunches didn't seem to be frosted at all, which was fine by me. I think that might've been overkill anyway. I've been using this as a topper to bran flakes to add a touch of sweetness--that's plenty for me.

fun on a bun...

Technically, the bun is optional but I just have to recommend these Spice-Rubbed Chicken Breasts.  I thought it sounded like a different kind of chicken sandwich for me and I'd never made a rub before. I have plenty of recipes but none which triggered an immediate response of, "I must try this." Also, I'd never purchased cumin before. It smells like the primary ingredient in a packet of taco seasoning, so you can see why it would need to be balanced out with brown sugar. Actually, all of the spices work well together, even the little tang of thyme. I think I'll be trying it on salmon next.
