occasional granola review: *new* Cascadian Farm FarmStand Harvest-- vanilla, coconut and pumpkin seed

So Cascadian Farm has this new Farm Stand Harvest line of granola. I've been staring at in stores for a month now, waiting for an opening in my granola consumption. Finally today was the day to try it. First let me state the obvious: this is one I could make myself by changing the ingredients in a recipe I already have. But now to actually review it: it's not bad. The vanilla flavor is basically the same as their French Vanilla Granola. The surprising element was the combination of dried coconut and pumpkin seed. I had a bite with just those two and the taste was...enjoyable. I would not have thought to put those together.

fun on a bun...

Technically, the bun is optional but I just have to recommend these Spice-Rubbed Chicken Breasts.  I thought it sounded like a different kind of chicken sandwich for me and I'd never made a rub before. I have plenty of recipes but none which triggered an immediate response of, "I must try this." Also, I'd never purchased cumin before. It smells like the primary ingredient in a packet of taco seasoning, so you can see why it would need to be balanced out with brown sugar. Actually, all of the spices work well together, even the little tang of thyme. I think I'll be trying it on salmon next.
