Review: Honey Nut Chex

Ever have a craving for Chex, but not one of the plainer ones? Maybe what you want is Honey Nut Chex. It's corn-based, gluten-free, and has a honey nut flavor that tastes like neither honey nor nuts but it's...right. It just tastes right. I mixed it with Maple Brown Sugar Life this morning (another out-of-order review--I guess I'll have to go back and insert links later).

It's been a month since I came up with the idea for this blog and I've really gotten into mixing cereals in the interim. Most surprisingly successful combination thus far? Maple Brown Sugar Life and Fiber One Shredded Wheat.

fun on a bun...

Technically, the bun is optional but I just have to recommend these Spice-Rubbed Chicken Breasts.  I thought it sounded like a different kind of chicken sandwich for me and I'd never made a rub before. I have plenty of recipes but none which triggered an immediate response of, "I must try this." Also, I'd never purchased cumin before. It smells like the primary ingredient in a packet of taco seasoning, so you can see why it would need to be balanced out with brown sugar. Actually, all of the spices work well together, even the little tang of thyme. I think I'll be trying it on salmon next.
